It blocks the buttons of other plugins

I have a problem with shift8 cdn. It makes the buttons of other plugins unusable. For example for WP-Optimize and UpdraftPlus. I had to deactivate shift8 cdn to get these plugins back working. Am I the only one having this problem?

Hello there! Sorry to hear about your problems.

Can you elaborate a bit more about how it blocks the buttons? A screenshot and a site url would be helpful for me to look further into this for you.

Thank you

My site: Bazar.synology.me
Server: Synology DS218 +

Description:

I did the test with WP-Optimize because the problem is very visible.

With Shift 8 CDN: I toggle the button “Enable purge cahing” no effect. Nothing works. It is as if the button had not been slipped. Yet it is.

With Shift 8 CDN disabled: The message “Please wait” appears.

When Shift 8 CDN is activated none of the buttons work.

Have a good day

You could try disabling this and see if it helps.

I installed WP-Optimize and tried to repeat your steps and was not able to reproduce. The “enable cache” and even the “purge cache” buttons work for me. If there is a conflict it might be something else or another plugin that is affecting this behaviour.

You could try disabling the anti malware plugin to see but you could also inspect element in your browser and look at the request that is not working (“enable page cache”) when you try to see if that offers any clues.

Again its looking more and more that its another thing is affecting this, not just the two plugins Shift8 CDN + WP-Optimize. I dont mind looking further into this for you but try and disable other plugins starting with the one I suggested one at a time until you see if the problem is still happening. This will help narrow down.

Thanks

Thank you for your help.

I have found another way to generate the problem.

When I want to globally select all items from the expansion screen:

Without Shift8 CDN, the check mark extends to all items.

With Shift8 CDN, the check mark does not extend.

I have completely removed the anti-malwaware plugin and disabled the others, including WP-Optimize.

Regarding the inspection in the browser, I do not understand the code. I can tell you that the problem is the same with Chrome and Edge.

Have a nice day

Only SHIFT8 CDN actived

If you are willing to delegate temporary admin access to your site and use https://pass.stackstar.com/ to email credentials to cdnhelp@shift8web.com , I can try to assist further. Sometimes its too complicated to troubleshoot this way.

Ok it’s done. Keep me informed.

I logged into your site and noticed an edge case javascript exception that was happening. I have pushed out a fix to the plugin (v1.52) that should resolve this for you. You can update your plugin and clear browser cache to see the fix.

I have updated to 1.52 release, and everything work correctly,

Thanks a lot
